(especially if you always wanted to stay there but never had the chance!!)

Ashtray (Edwardian Room)

This ashtray was found way in the back of the Plaza Hotel's closets during the clean-out for the great tag sale at the hotel.  It is new, never used, and was still in its original box when it was found. 

The Edwardian Room may have closed in 1998, but it is still remembered as the home of the quintessential "power breakfast."   (During the 1990s Donald Trump had the corner table.)  Eventually CPS One steak house opened in the spot, but it never had the cache that the Edwardian Room did.  (When one thinks of the restaurants of The Plaza one thinks of the Oyster Bar, the Palm Court, the Edwardian Room and the Oak Room!)

One dozen elegant coasters with The Plaza's name and logo.  These make great collectibles now that The Plaza NYC has closed!  The extra touch of the gold ribbon makes an especially nice gift presentation.

The sticks are white with "The Plaza" written in script the famous double "P" logo both in gold.

Oscar de la Renta TEA CUP SAUCER purchased at the liquidation sale at The Plaza, New York.  

They have a white base and are covered with hand painted colorful flowers.   Gold trim and accents finish off this luxurious look! This saucer measures approximately six inches in diameter. The cup is not included.

This makes an elegant little collectible now that The Plaza NYC has closed!

This never used Schonwald (Germany) demitasse or espresso cup and saucer was found on the last day of the liquidation sale at The Plaza, New York.   They are white with a white on white lacy edging pattern and gold trim.

THE PLAZA DOUBLE P LOGO IS ON THE FRONT OF THE CUP IN GOLD.

This cup and saucer match the china used at the hotel, but these ones were never actually put into service.  I bought them still in the manufacturers packaging.

These brand new Schonwald saucers were found on the last day of the liquidation sale at The Plaza, New York.  They measure 4 5/8" across.  They are white with a white on white lacy edging pattern and gold trim.

This china pattern was used throughout the hotel, and we were lucky enough to find a few that hadn't yet been put into service.  When we came across them they were still in the manufacturers packaging.

This spectacular tureen was made for the Copley Plaza, the sister of The New York Plaza. Both were designed by Henry Hardenbergh and share the same famous logo. The piece is date stamped 1912 (a fish shaped mark) along with the makers anchor mark and "GMCo". It is also marked "4 pints" and it measures a large 13.5 inches wide (including handles). It stand about six inches high.

This is what is known as hotel plate, a very heavy and durable silver plating. The silver used to plate these items is 100% pure silver...not .925 sterling silver, so the color of the silver is spectacular!!

This silver is a great way to remember this wonderful hotel that has now closed its doors!! The famous "double P" logo is clearly visible on each handle.

These pieces are in mint or excellent condition.

There are twelve place settings available! Price is per setting (10 pieces.)

People say that The Plaza Hotel didn't have an address -- it didn't need one. Although a letter sent to "The Plaza Hotel, New York" would probably have reached its recipient, the official address was, in fact, 1 Central Park South, or as many would say ONE C.P.S.

These monogrammed napkins were unused old stock left over when the hotel closed. They were to be used in the famous steak house "ONE C.P.S." which was located right on the corner of Fifth Avenue overlooking Central Park. (This space was formerly the Edwardian Room)

These luxurious napkins, made by the prestigious Italian linen company, Frette, are 100% double twisted Egyptian cotton damask mercerized with the "Polaris" system. Two sides are selvedges and two are straight hems. "Frette" logo woven on the border design in damask. They are designed to measure the full 22 x 22 inches after shrinkage.

Sold in sets of four. They are an elegant addition to any dining experience.
